Job Description
Ardova Plc is seeking to hire a Supervisor, Process and Operations Control to join its finance team in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial processes, compliance with internal procedures, and implementation of effective financial controls. The role supports the daily operations of the Process and Operations Control Unit and other finance-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices via e-procure in line with procurement policies
- Conduct pre-payment audits to validate expenditures and protect company resources
- Flag discrepancies during audit reviews and escalate to the team lead
- Review inventory records and monitor consumables
- Audit advance payment ledgers and identify irregularities
- Conduct periodic departmental checks for resource oversight
- Verify invoice entries via ERP for duplication
- Manage processing of customer refunds
- Oversee customer credit implementation
- Generate monthly reports on sundry income, retention, and control assessment
- Support policy and control implementation across departments
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Conduct post-implementation audits and daily transaction call-overs
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field (minimum of Second Class Lower)
- ICAN certification (preferred)
Experience:
- 6 to 7 years of relevant work experience in finance or audit roles
- Experience with ERP systems and financial compliance procedures
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and assess control risks
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
