Job Description

NESG is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Officer to join its communications team. This full-time role requires a dynamic individual who can lead the creation and design of compelling visual and written content across both digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing NESG’s brand identity and ensure that all content aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design high-quality content for social media, reports, presentations, branding, and other communication materials.

  • Maintain and evolve NESG’s visual identity across digital and print formats.

  • Create engaging UI/UX designs, including wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile interfaces.

  • Optimize media for performance across platforms, ensuring responsiveness and fast load times.

  • Develop infographics, banners, and promotional assets for NESG programs and events.

  • Write persuasive content for campaigns, promotions, and advocacy efforts.

  • Transform technical reports into visually appealing summaries and thought leadership content.

  • Edit short-form video content for advocacy and promotions (preferred).

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to improve user experience.

  • Collaborate with developers to implement UI/UX designs effectively.

  • Stay updated on design trends, accessibility standards, and digital best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.

  • Branding and design certification is required.

  • Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in relevant fields are an added advantage.

  • A solid portfolio demonstrating proven experience in graphic design.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

  • Skilled in UI/UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, etc.

  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, branding, and design principles.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and innovative.

  • Experience in motion graphics and short-form video editing is a plus.
