ALA seeks to enroll and fund outstanding young leaders from across Africa and beyond, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and networks needed to drive lasting change on the continent.
Each year, over 2,000 students apply, with only about 130 admitted into the highly competitive cohort. The program emphasizes leadership potential, intellectual readiness, courage, perseverance, ownership, and interdependence.
