Job Description
Halliburton Nigeria is seeking an Accountant to join its team in Port Harcourt, Lagos State. The role is developmental, offering exposure to general accounting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications, while also building intermediate proficiency in industry and company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand company business systems, processes, policies, and controls.
- Prepare accounting reports and complex analyses with related spreadsheets or applications.
- Prepare and post journal vouchers for accounting transactions.
- Research and resolve accounting issues and transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Gain knowledge of Halliburton’s organizational structure and business operations.
- Support financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9 months’ experience in accounting or related roles.
- Knowledge of country-specific accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of internal controls and financial processes.
