Available Positions 1. Communication Officer II The Communication Officer supports the ICRC’s communication strategy by monitoring media, analyzing trends, and coordinating communication projects to enhance the organization’s visibility and stakeholder relations. Key Responsibilities:- Monitor news and social media to identify relevant trends and insights.
- Prepare daily and bi-weekly media reports and thematic analyses.
- Support internal and external communication projects.
- Assist in planning and implementing communication strategies.
- Coordinate surveys and reputation assessments.
- Build relationships with key media and community stakeholders.
- University degree in Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, or Journalism.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, digital, and research skills.
- Must possess a valid work permit in Nigeria.
- Create, edit, and publish multimedia content (videos, graphics, podcasts, etc.).
- Lead audiovisual production and design social media campaigns.
- Manage and schedule social media channels.
- Provide digital communication training for field officers.
- Monitor trends and optimize content for SEO and SEM visibility.
- Ensure compliance with ethical communication standards.
- Degree in Communications, Audiovisual Production, Digital Marketing, or Journalism.
- 4–8 years of experience in digital media or audiovisual content creation.
- Proficiency with Canva, Asana, Sprinklr, and multimedia editing tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Hausa/Kanuri an asset).
- Valid Nigerian work permit required.
- Plan and allocate vehicle resources effectively.
- Supervise maintenance, fuel management, and vehicle documentation.
- Oversee vehicle tracking and ensure fleet compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage fleet budgets and reporting.
- Coordinate generator installations and performance monitoring.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Automotive Technology, Transport, or related field.
- 6 years experience in fleet or transport management.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong computer and budget management skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (B; C an asset).
- Nigerian work permit required.
