Job Description
Nestlé Nigeria is seeking a Security Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing security best practices, safeguarding staff, clients, products, and assets, and ensuring a secure operational environment in line with Nestlé Group Security and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective security and safety systems for employees, contractors, visitors, and company assets.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments for the Head Office.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security protocols, and beat instructions.
- Manage journey security for expatriates and high-risk visitors.
- Lead crisis management and support business continuity processes.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and contractors.
- Oversee security infrastructure including biometric access systems, CCTV, and radio communications.
- Investigate and report security incidents, liaising with law enforcement as required.
- Supervise and evaluate third-party security service providers.
- Maintain active relationships with law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
- Manage fire safety operations, prevention drills, and training of fire marshals.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Proactively manage intelligence gathering and security risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in security operations within a structured organization.
- Professional certification in Security Operations and Management (e.g., CPP, CSMP) is an added advantage.
- Strong skills in risk detection, crime investigation, intelligence gathering, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Knowledge of physical security, safety, and HSE enforcement.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must demonstrate courage, integrity, and sound judgment in enforcing security and safety rules.
