Job Description
The FAO Internship Programme 2025 offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges in agriculture, food security, and sustainable development. Interns will be placed at FAO headquarters in Italy or other duty stations worldwide, working alongside experts on projects aligned with FAO’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to FAO’s work.
- Assist in ongoing projects and technical programs related to food and agriculture.
- Participate in research, policy analysis, and administrative support tasks.
- Engage in knowledge-sharing and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program at a recognized institution, or a recent graduate.
- Specialization in a field relevant to FAO’s mandate.
- Proficiency in at least one FAO language: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish. Knowledge of a second language is an advantage.
- Aged between 21 and 30 at the start of the internship.
- Nationals of FAO member countries only.
- Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
- Not related to any FAO staff member (parent, sibling).
- Must have appropriate residence or immigration status for the duty station.
- Duration: 3 to 11 months.
