Job Description
MasterCard Foundation is seeking a skilled Senior Data & Reporting Analyst to manage data requests and reporting functions. The successful candidate will support data analytics, data quality management, business intelligence (BI) development, and strategic insight delivery to aid in decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Integration
- Conduct analytical tasks for reports and internal requests
- Collate and structure diverse datasets for analysis
- Provide ad hoc analytics (aggregation, disaggregation, pivot tables, etc.)
Data Management & Quality
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, and structure
- Understand internal and external data sources
- Maintain data governance protocols and privacy standards
- Address biases, ownership, and collection methods
Strategic Insights & Program Performance
- Deliver performance decks for leadership reviews
- Generate insight papers on investments and impact areas
Reporting & Visualization
- Design front-end data solutions and prototype
- Develop data transformation logic in collaboration with back-end BI developers
- Implement ETL processes and visualizations using BI tools
Data Engineering
- Automate data ingestion and preprocessing
- Enhance datasets with match rules and validations
- Optimize Big Data systems for analytics and machine learning
BI Project Management & Capacity Building
- Plan and manage BI projects and communication
- Handle user feedback, version control, and system monitoring
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with teams to refine data needs and tailor outputs
- Support external data collection as needed
- Promote data literacy and serve as a trusted analytics advisor
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a related field
- Expertise in data platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, R, SQL, Excel)
- Knowledge of complex data structures, data quality, and analytics best practices
- Strong skills in statistical analysis, reporting tools, and business insight delivery
- Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse navigation
- Service-oriented with strong communication and business partnering ability
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment across time zones
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity
